Merch for Kai-Fella, a nonprofit offering workshops for teens, fostering safe, courageous conversations.The nonprofit struggled with a childlike brand appeal that didn’t resonate with teens, making it unlikely they’d wear it. To bridge this gap, it was essential to research youth-preferred brands and understand their aesthetic preferences.
I've created graphically interesting designs for t-shirts and caps (below) within these aesthetic preferences.
The client insisted on incorporating the slogan "Redefining Courage." Through research into youth-preferred brands, I identified several potential directions, with a bold, graphical style emerging as the most aligned with the target audience's aesthetic.
